My name is Alexia Chalita and I am currently an MBA student (management & finance) at California Lutheran University. I tutor math, science, Spanish, English, writing, and history. I like to help my students learn in a creative way. I understand that all my students learn in different way and I try to mold my tutoring form to each student’s needs. I have experience working with children with ADD/ADHD. Apart from tutoring, I have experience working in a retirement home. I help the elderly improve their memory by puzzles, crosswords, trivia, and brain exercises. My strongest subject is Spanish. I am a native speaker and have taken many upper division Spanish classes in college. Apart from Spanish, my strongest subjects include math and writing. Being a business major, I have taken many courses in math ranging from basic to more advanced material. I have taken many courses in research and have perfected my writing skills. Overall, I am knowledgeable in a broad variety of subjects. I like to teach my students to think outside the box. I believe that learning can be done not just with the traditional memorizing method but also by understanding the material that is being taught. I work well with students that have trouble memorizing or staying focused. I love tutoring and I love seeing my students succeed. I have taken many course in mathematics and biology.
